Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WasteReady (the “Service”), a digital waste transfer note and DEFRA compliance application. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The service

WasteReady lets waste collectors and receiving sites create, share and store digital waste transfer notes and, where enabled, submit records to DEFRA’s Digital Waste Tracking service. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. The Service is intended for business use by waste operators in the United Kingdom.

3. Subscriptions, trials & billing

Access may be free until your applicable regulatory deadline and chargeable thereafter, or offered on a founding or subscription basis. Pricing and billing terms are those presented to you at sign-up or in the app. You can cancel in line with the plan you have chosen.

4. Your responsibility for compliance

WasteReady is a tool to help you keep records and submit them. You remain solely responsible for meeting your legal obligations, including the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter and the timeliness of any DEFRA submission. We do not provide legal or regulatory advice, and use of the Service does not guarantee regulatory compliance.

5. Your data & content

You retain ownership of the records and content you submit. You grant us the rights needed to host, process and display that content to operate the Service (for example, generating PDFs, sharing records you choose to share, and submitting records to DEFRA at your direction). How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorisation, submit unlawful content, or use it to breach any law or third-party rights.

7. Availability & warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that third-party services (including DEFRA’s API) will always be available.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WasteReady will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or for regulatory penalties arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the Service or other users.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
